What are Human Rights?

Human rights are basic rights and freedoms that are entitled to all individuals, regardless of their gender, race, nationality, religion, or any other status. These rights include civil and political rights, such as the right to freedom of speech and assembly, as well as economic, social, and cultural rights, such as the right to education and healthcare.

As an organization dedicated to promoting and protecting human rights, ICOHR recognizes the importance of upholding and defending these fundamental rights. We believe that every person has the right to live with dignity and respect, free from discrimination and oppression. Our programs and initiatives are designed to empower individuals and communities to claim their rights, advocate for reforms, and hold governments and institutions accountable for their actions.

ICOHR works closely with local partners, civil society organizations, and human rights defenders to monitor abuses, raise awareness, and promote human rights education. We believe that by promoting and protecting human rights, we can create a more just and equitable world for all.
